So yesterday we were at UNC Pediatric Hospital and the Ped. Rheumatoid Specialist said that Cat’s arthritis is not active in her body. YEAH! He took her off the myobic YEAH! One med down, she is still on Enbrel and Methotrexate shots weekly. We go back in 3 months for a follow up! I am so EXCITED and thrilled! He said in about 6-8 months we might be taken off the methotrexate.

Well we gave Catherine her Enbrel tonight the full amount of 35mg, 2 shots back to back, we usually break them up, but since she has been sick the last few weeks, we needed to catch up. Tomorrow she goes to Chapel Hill, praying for GOOD news! I am not sure what they are going to do, she has been on the medicine Enbrel since February. Hopefully he won’t find anymore joints that are infected, we need an MRI to determine where her Arthritis is at in her body. I am pretty tired, she is having a lot of stomach pain I am sure it is from the mobic/alleve. Hopefully this summer we can go to the pool and she can get lots of exercise. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Well nothing new to report she has been off her injections for about 3 weeks now. The doctor said we could give her injections starting again on Friday. I tell you, we have to be so careful Catherine get’s viruses and colds so easy. We can’t go around any person who is sick. It is hard because some people think it is ok to send their kids to school SICK, which endangers Cat’s life.
Well Catherine has been pretty good this week, however she has been running a slight fever and had some coughs. So we took her to the pediatrician and she thought it was a virus, we thought about giving her the Enbrel but decided against it and the methotrexate as well. She said she hasn’t thought much about it. I remember so clearly two years ago how she was complaining about her knee and not being able to bend it. Just crazy this is where we would end up at.
Well with Catherine, she has her days. On Friday she said her ankle was hurting, she told me today she gets tired quickly than other days. It is hard to make her lay down, or keep still to rest. I am just not so sure any more.
